Classic by any means

This Heath Gray 1977 FJ40 build was designed to preserve the iconic, clean lines while making subtle and tasteful upgrades throughout. Powered by the original 2F 6-cylinder engine (completely rebuilt, including new pistons, rings, sleeves, bearings, machined surfaces, etc.) mated to a rebuilt 4-speed gearbox, a Weber 38mm carburetor replaces the original for better performance and easier starting with an electric choke – but of course keeping the original air intake filter box.

All mechanical components and body panels underwent thousands of manhours of painstaking work to make perfect, with all brackets, fasteners, buts, bolts etc galvanized to preserve the pristine restoration for years to come and increasing the rugged durability inherent in the 40-series Land Cruisers.

Stepping it up

The interior is finished in beautiful camel colored fill grain automotive grade leather. The design of the interior was done in conjunction with the client for this commissioned build and include micro perforated leather sections for improved comfort and style. Sound is provided through a classic-looking Bluetooth enabled RetroSound radio coupled to two front door speakers and two rear speakers installed in custom speaker boxes. The floor is covered  hand crafted textured vinyl with black edge trim to keep things functional and stylish.

This is an FJ40 build to be driven and enjoyed for years to come.
