The V8 engine was torn down and rebuilt, the driveline refreshed from end to end, and supporting systems upgraded for modern reliability. This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS arrived with a blown head gasket and chronic overheating in its 3.9L Rover V8. The solution was a partial engine rebuild and machining of the cylinder heads, paired with a complete cooling system overhaul—new water pump, thermostat, housing, and fan clutch. While in the shop, the Defender also received a repaired air conditioning system, electrical troubleshooting and fixes, and a fresh set of all-terrain tires. The result: a Defender returned to strength, with its V8 running cool, steady, and reliable once again.

What started as a 1996 HZJ73 hardtop is now the ultimate summer runabout. We stripped it down, added a custom roll bar, soft top, and half doors—and rebuilt it for open-air adventure. A rugged Land Cruiser with the soul of a convertible, now complete with a crisp new sound system to match its attitude.

The trucks came in quiet — tired FJ40s, worn Series IIIs, and old Defenders that had seen too much time and too few repairs. We stripped them down, rebuilt the drivetrains, replaced what was worn, and rewired what was forgotten. New engines. Clean brakes. Tight steering. Interiors built to last.

This Defender 90 NAS arrived non-running with a failed fuel system. We replaced the fuel pump, fixed the electrical gremlins, serviced all fluids, and prepped it for a full summer of adventure. Now it starts, runs, and drives like it should.
