1992 Land Rover Defender 110 200TDi — Rebuilt from the Ground Up

This 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 started life as a right-hand drive British import, lovingly worked on in a home garage. But when it came time for a galvanized chassis swap, engine rebuild, and full LHD conversion, Legacy Overland stepped in to finish the job right. The result? A re-engineered classic built for the next decade of adventure.

The Brawny Broncos of the 1980s

The Brawny Broncos of the 1980s

Few classics embody the rugged spirit of the 1980s like the Ford Bronco. Big, boxy, and brawny, these full-sized SUVs were built to haul, explore, and endure—earning their place as true American icons. But decades later, even Ford’s stout V8s and bulletproof drivelines need careful attention to bring them back to life.

At Legacy Overland, we brought that spirit roaring back with Project Rollins, a 1988 Ford Bronco fully overhauled at its core. The V8 engine was torn down and rebuilt, the driveline refreshed from end to end, and supporting systems upgraded for modern reliability. The result is a Bronco that doesn’t just look ready for adventure—it drives with the muscle and confidence these trucks were born to deliver.

Defender 90: When Heat Breaks an Engine

This 1995 Land Rover Defender 90 NAS arrived with a blown head gasket and chronic overheating in its 3.9L Rover V8. The solution was a partial engine rebuild and machining of the cylinder heads, paired with a complete cooling system overhaul—new water pump, thermostat, housing, and fan clutch. While in the shop, the Defender also received a repaired air conditioning system, electrical troubleshooting and fixes, and a fresh set of all-terrain tires. The result: a Defender returned to strength, with its V8 running cool, steady, and reliable once again.

Where the Work Lives: A Look Inside Our Recent Restorations

The trucks came in quiet — tired FJ40s, worn Series IIIs, and old Defenders that had seen too much time and too few repairs. We stripped them down, rebuilt the drivetrains, replaced what was worn, and rewired what was forgotten. New engines. Clean brakes. Tight steering. Interiors built to last.

No shortcuts. No gloss without grit. Just the kind of work that speaks for itself.
